WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) will join with EPA to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) — working together to provide safe drinking water for the U.S., according to a press release.

Nearly all private household water systems and more than 78 percent of community water systems are groundwater-supplied, stated the release.

The release includes a video featuring EPA Director of the Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water Peter Grevatt, highlighting more information on the SDWA and the 40th anniversary celebration.

A SDWA 40th anniversary celebration is taking place Dec. 9 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., noted the release.
