NGWA to support Brownfields Program in hearing

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The EPA claims about $18 in economic growth is generated for each dollar invested in the program.

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) will appear in a hearing of the U.S. House Subcommittee on Water Resources and the Environment on July 29, according to a press release.

GSWA will testify in supported of the federal Brownfields Program, noted the release. The hearing will be streamed live at 10 a.m. at transportation.house.gov.

NGWA Groundwater Protection and Management Subcommittee member Paul Gruber, PG, will speak on behalf of NGWA, reported the release.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Brownfields Program has provided supported cleanup and revitalization efforts since 1995, stated the release. The EPA claims about $18 in economic growth is generated for each dollar invested in the program.

About 400,000 Brownfields sites exist across the country, shared the release.
