The students plan to run a 600-mile stretch from Greensboro to Washington, D.C. from March 28-31 this year, the article reported.

Many of the students participated in the same fundraiser three years ago, noted the article.

"I got the chance to visit Haiti in 2010 and we distributed some of the water filters that we raised money for," said Davidson.  "It was really cool to see all the people and meet them and see how appreciative they were. We got to see their living conditions and all the rivers that had the cholera bacteria," she added.
