LOVES PARK, Ill. — President and CEO of Aqua-Aerobic Systems Inc. Bob Wimmer was inducted into the Northern Illinois Business Hall of Fame, according to a press release.

Wimmer joined Aqua-Aerobic in 1998 and has assisted in increasing the company’s overall customer base in addition to expanding the plant’s local reach, stated the release.

Established to recognize icons and leaders of commerce and industry in the region, the Hall of Fame focuses on leaders who played a crucial role from the very beginning in developing the region’s economic base, as well as current leaders who have demonstrated industry leadership, business growth and expansion, noted the release.

The Rockford Chamber of Commerce celebrated this year’s Hall of Fame inductees at an event earlier this month at Midway Village in Rockford, Ill., continued the release.

"I'm incredibly honored to be recognized by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce for my company's contribution to the region," said Wimmer. "We are devoted to developing cutting edge technology that makes Aqua-Aerobic Systems a leader locally, nationally and internationally."
