NSF promotes Andrew and Purkiss to its water division

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — NSF International's Water Programs require extensive product testing and unannounced audits of production facilities.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — NSF International has promoted two experts in its water division, according to a press release.

Rick Andrew shifts his role to focus on new business development opportunities for all of NSF’s water programs.

Dave Purkiss will direct NSF’s Municipal Water and Drinking Water Treatment programs with management support from two very experienced operations managers: Kelli Fleischmann and Jennifer Sharp.

NSF International's Water Programs require extensive product testing and unannounced audits of production facilities to verify that water treatment products meet the design, material and performance requirements from source to tap, stated the release.

As former General Manager of the NSF Drinking Water Treatment Systems Certification Program, Andrew will transition into a new role as Director, Global Business Development – Water Systems leveraging his nearly 14 years of experience at NSF managing certification for point-of-use (POU) and point-of-entry (POE) manufacturers.

Purkiss has managed NSF’s water treatment and distribution programs and worked at NSF for the past 25 years, including four years with WRc-NSF in the UK, which provides testing for water fittings and materials.

Sharp Fleischmann, who each have 10 years of experience working in NSF’s Water Division, have been promoted to operations managers, noted the release.

Blake Stark, currently Business Unit Manager for NSF/ANSI Standard 60: Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals — Health Effects, will manage NSF International’s Recreational Water Program, which tests and certifies pool and spa products used in commercial and residential water facilities.
