Oklahoma Shale Cost-Effective Water Management Congress: SCOOP & STACK 2018 set for Dec. 11-13

Gulfport Energy, Marathon Oil and Alta Mesa are among the leaders of the Oklahoma Shale Cost-Effective Water Management Congress: SCOOP & STACK 2018 water management initiative on Dec. 11-13 in Oklahoma City. This event will bring together the region’s operators, some of Oklahoma’s regulatory bodies and technology and service providers to share their experiences on ways to optimize water management strategies. Topics at the conference include: strategies for water sourcing, recycling, treatment, reuse and disposal; reducing the risk of seismic activity; and water storage systems. Registration options include attendance to one, two or three days or live streaming. Strainer and Filtration Application Guide helps end users select the right product for their application. It offers elements such as ensuring process efficiency, optimizing flow, reducing operational costs and limiting particulate contaminants.

SUEZ signs service contract with Forest Water Environmental Engineering Co. Ltd. in Taiwan

Through its Water Technologies & Solutions unit, SUEZ signed a 12-year industrial wastewater membrane service contract with Forest Water Environmental Engineering Co. Ltd. to increase efficiency and wastewater discharge water quality. The two signed a MOU to pursue reclaimed water opportunities in Taiwan to promote the country’s water sustainability. The wastewater treatment plant controlled by Forest Water Environmental Engineering operates at 25,000 m3/day.

The contract for industrial wastewater membrane biological reactor service is aimed at reducing the operational risk of the plant while ensuring the quality of the water discharge. The MOU gives play to both parties to help reduce pressure on water sources and stabilize the demand for industrial water.
