ONE DROP ‘Walk for Water’ to follow WSI 2014

Las Vegas — The walk will take place Oct. 11, starting at 9:30 a.m. and concluding at the Springs Preserve, where Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman will launch a family-friendly celebration including music, food, carnival games and prize drawings.

Las Vegas — The ONE DROP “Walk for Water” will follow the seventh WaterSmart Innovations Conference and Exposition (WSI 2014) on Oct. 11 to raise awareness to water issues facing people in developing countries, according to information provided by WaterSmart Innovations.

Festivities for the walk will commence with registration at 8:30 a.m. at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Las Vegas; and the walk, starting at 9:30 a.m., will conclude at the Springs Preserve, where Mayor Carolyn Goodman will launch a family-friendly celebration including music, food, carnival games and prize drawings.

Proceeds will benefit ONE DROP’s global initiatives, along with innovative educational programming in Nevada through a partnership with the Springs Preserve.

Preceding “Walk for Water” is WSI 2014, taking place Oct. 7-10, in Las Vegas; the conference will provide opportunities for those in the water industry to showcase new water-efficiency technologies as well as network with other water professionals.
