Park Water Company receives CA-NV AWWA Larry C. Larson Safety Award

DOWNEY, Calif. — Park Water Company will receive the Larry C. Larson Safety Award at the 2014 California – Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association (CA-NV AWWA) Fall Conference.

DOWNEY, Calif. — Park Water Company (Park) announced that it received the California – Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association (CA-NV AWWA) Larry C. Larson Safety Award, according to a press release.

The CA-NV AWWA established the Larry C. Larson Safety Award in 1989 for water utilities with an outstanding and unequaled safety record, stated the release.

The release reported that recipients of the award must meet a stringent list of safety criteria such as providing extensive safety information which includes: OSHA or equivalent safety information, any injuries, productive work hours for at least a half-decade, training, commitments to safety including written safety and health program manuals, policy, accountability in job descriptions, performance evaluations, hazard identification and controls and more.

Park will receive the Larry C. Larson Safety Award at the 2014 CA-NV AWWA Fall Conference, noted the release.

“Safety and service are core values in our culture. Our employees think about public and employee safety in all their actions to serve,” said Park General Manager Jeanne-Marie Bruno. “We have a continuous focus toward on the job training and education and reinforce these values.”
