OAKLAND, Calif. — This is just one of the issues resulting from the Coliseum’s aging plumbing system.

OAKLAND, Calif. — A plumbing issue at the Coliseum, home to the Oakland Athletics, led to sewage flooding the team’s clubhouse forcing them to share a locker room with the visiting team, according to the Mercury News.

Owner of the Athletics, Lew Wolff, said he has no plans of talking to Major League Baseball’s commissioner Bud Selig about the urgency of the club’s stadium situation, noted the article.

"No, he knows about it," Wolff said by phone from Los Angeles. "Unless he's a plumber, there's not much he can do, either."

Wolff added that this is just one of the issues resulting from the Coliseum’s aging plumbing system. "It's not a rare occasion for us, maybe not this extensively, but it's happened several times."

Repairs are underway to fix the carpet and find the blockage that caused the flood on the stadium’s lower level before the Athletics return home from a six game road trip on June 25, stated the article.
