Xylem launches new rental solutions brand

Xylem presented a new look to its rental solutions business. The company’s knowledge and selection of pump and ancillary equipment will cater to the dewatering, mining and oil and gas sectors. Xylem Rental Solutions offers a broad range of sizes and configurations and allows for rental of specialty products and systems. Xylem designs and manufactures brands such as Godwin, Flygt, Goulds Water Technology, AC Fire Pump and MJK.

De Nora acquires MIOX

De Nora, a provider of electrodes, coatings and solutions for electrochemical processes, acquired Albuquerque-based MIOX business from Johnson Matthey for an undisclosed price. The acquisition will strengthen De Nora’s water purification technologies. De Nora’s generation product offering includes electrochlorination systems using either seawater or brine for water treatment and biofouling control. The MIOX technology adds knowledge and experience in producing proprietary mixed oxidants on-site for advanced applications.

SPX Cooling releases informative video on integral louvers in crossflow cooling towers

SPX Cooling Technologies Inc. released an informational video that describes advantages of the integral louvers incorporated into Marley crossflow cooling towers. The video provides a closeup look at the louvers, which are incorporated into the design of the thermoformed PVC heat transfer fill sheets. During cold weather operation, Marley integral louvers retain water within the tower and help prevent ice formation because they are located close to the tower heat load.
