Pleuger Industries supplies Chile copper mine with process water pumps

Pleuger Industries supplied the Chilean Collahuasi Mine with six pump units for the filtration of copper concentrate. The 10-inch pumps are used to dewater copper sludge in the flotation process and extract the copper concentrate. Process pumps used in copper production operate under extreme conditions because copper quickly oxidizes the materials from which pumps are usually made. Pleuger Industries pumps rely on corrosion protection and energy efficient design to maintain in harsher environments.

Motion Industries acquires Axis, an automation and robotics company

Motion Industries, an industrial parts distributor of bearings, hydraulic and industrial hose, electrical and industrial automation, acquired Axis New England and Axis New York. Axis, founded in 1994, specializes in precision components, electromechanical assemblies and fully engineered automation systems. Axis will continue to focus on motion control, robotics and machine vision.

Tesco Controls acquires Trimax Systems

Tesco Controls, a control system solutions provider for the water and wastewater industry, acquired Trimax Systems, a southern California-based systems integrator in the water and wastewater market. The union will allow Tesco to increase its market share in southern California and gain access to additional industries served by Trimax. Trimax will continue operation under the name Trimax, a Tesco Controls Company.
