Spanish energy company Abengoa has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a 19,200 m3/day in desalination plant in Chile for energy company AES Gener.
The reverse osmosis (RO) plant will cost US$26 million and it will be developed for the Angamos power plant.
Abengoa will manage the engineering, construction and subsequent operation of the project, which will be company’s first desalination project in Chile.
