June 20, 2011 -- Degremont, a subsidiary of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, has completed its acquisition of AmeriWater, a specialist in high-purity water production.

AmeriWater is based in Dayton, OH, and has been designing, manufacturing and supplying high-purity water treatment systems for the healthcare market since 1995. The company also offers a full line of solutions for industrial applications including cooling tower filters, reverse osmosis systems, deionizers, filters, and softeners, as well as related services.

AmeriWater Chief Executive Officer Diane Dolan will remain in her current role. AmeriWater Vice President James Baker will continue to provide technical expertise and will lead the product development strategy.

AmeriWater will be integrated into Degremont's Equipment Business Line, joining other equipment manufacturers, suppliers and service providers that operate under the Degremont Technologies banner around the world.
