Get accurate results with less opportunity for errors, in a fraction of the time with up to six parameters tested in parallel with the Hach SL1000 Portable Parallel Analyzer (PPA). The SL1000 is a portable colorimeter that provides 75% faster testing by using Chemkey reagents instead of powder pillows. All chemicals and processes are entirely contained inside the Chemkey.

Chemkeys® are completely contained reagents, reducing manual errors and saving time.

With up to 22 parameters to choose from, you can be covered for any of the following: colorimetric tests including monochloramine, free and total ammonia, free and total chlorine, nitrite, copper, orthophosphate, hardness, alkalinity, and dissolved iron. New parameters include: extended range chlorine (up to 10 mg/L), combined free and total ammonia (two measurements, one Chemkey), and high range hardness. Probe-based tests include: pH, conductivity, ORP, dissolved oxygen, nitrate, and fluoride (temperature is included with each probe).

Inefficient methods can put extra stress on technicians, but performing multiple tests faster and on site means getting needed results sooner and allows for more site visits in each shift. In field tests, one customer reduced time spent on sampling and testing from 40 minutes to 8 minutes per parameter.

Automation and internal temperature control make the entire process consistent and repeatable. Operators avoid manual steps that can introduce variability, even when performed by experienced testers, such as eliminating zeroing, mixing, shaking, and other tasks associated with grab samples.

The Hach SL1000 measures up to six parameters at a time.

There is less hassle with a single instrument that combines colorimetric and probe testing in a field kit requiring fewer bulky accessories. All chemicals and processes are entirely contained inside the Chemkey, meaning there are no powder pillows or glass vials to handle. In addition, the SL1000 allows operators to transfer data straight from the device to a computer, giving the technician a greater sense of confidence in the data compared to manually transcribing it.
