Wireless transmitter
OleumTech has launched the IO MAX Wireless Transmitter, which provides a substantial amount of onboard I/O combination and other special features. The new Transmitter is equipped with 4 analog inputs (user configurable for 4-20 mA or 0-10 VDC), 2 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, and RS485 Modbus Master functionality into a single self-contained, ruggedized wireless end node. It is specifically designed as a turnkey solution for a majority of remote monitoring and control applications.
An ISASecure accredited test lab, exida, has announced that it certified the Honeywell Experion C300 Controller R410 to the ISASecure® Embedded Device Security Assurance (EDSA) certification. The controller is Honeywell’s newest firmware version of its field-proven Experion C300 Controller product line. The technology supports a wide variety of process control situations, including continuous and batch processes and integration with smart field devices, and works across a variety of networks - allowing engineers to address their most demanding process control requirements.
Select Energy Services, LLC has announced added features to AquaView®, the company’s suite of water monitoring technology services. AquaView now includes the ability to remotely monitor flow meters and report volume and flow rate data back to a secure customer portal. Select has built trailers equipped with flow meters; the trailers are connected to Select’s lay flat EnviroHose™. The meters send data to a customized portal that allows operators to track the movement of their water from the source to operations, ultimately reducing man-hours and downtime.
Eaton has launched the XP500 family of industrial touch-panel personal computers. The multi-touch, low-maintenance touch screen allows the user to pinch, zoom, rotate, scroll, and finger swipe, just like a smartphone or tablet. Openness, sturdiness and ease of use are all packed into a premium, slim design. All solid-state memory and a fanless design means there are no moving parts that could compromise reliability in industrial applications. They are designed for use in harsh industrial environments, including hazardous UL/cUL Class I Division 2 applications.
Divelbiss Corporation has introduced the VersaGateway Controller, a communications controller capable of translating between various protocols and enabling cloud communications with the Divelbiss VersaCloud M2M platform. Programmed using the no-cost Divelbiss EZ Ladder Toolkit in Ladder Diagram, Function Block, and Structured Text, and based on P-Series PLC on a Chip™ technology, the VersaGateway provides maximum flexibility when translating between different serial bus protocols, logging system data to the full size SD card or adding IoT capability to existing systems.
Walchem, an IWAKI America company, has announced the new W100P Panel-Mount Controller, which provides an economical and reliable way to keep a water treatment program under control. It features a large display with icon-based programming and multiple language support that makes setup simple. This compact 1/4 DIN panel-mount enclosure with universal sensor input provides extraordinary flexibility, as it can also be used with almost any type of sensor needed.
SignalFire Wireless Telemetry has expanded the capabilities of its Multi Input/Output (MIO) Module to connect directly (Modbus) with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or be configured to perform autonomous local control where an input can trigger a relay output when a set threshold is met. With 8 analog and 6 digital inputs, the Multi I/O Module can be connected to a variety of devices such as pressure, flow, or level sensors, motor controllers or radar sensors. Two relay outputs are offered for control, and units can be daisy chained for added flexibility.
GE has made significant improvements to its Sievers InnovOx Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyzer, a tool designed to help companies monitor, measure and control the organics in their wastewater and industrial process water. The enhancements allow the advanced TOC Analyzer technology to monitor organics using close to real-time data to monitor and optimize water processes for higher up-time and overall cost savings for customers. InnovOx analyzers include robust sample handling capability, Supercritical Water Oxidation technology and simple maintenance and operation, all designed to enhance performance and uptime in challenging applications.
