Hach has developed a new Hydraulic Fracturing Water Analysis Kit. Offering on-site results, the easy-to-use kit is housed in a rugged, portable case. It covers key parameters critical to water analysis in oil and gas applications, including source water, fracturing fluid, flowback water, produced water, drilling fluids and enhanced oil recovery. The company’s chemists have developed, tested and published step-by-step procedures designed specifically for samples encountered in hydraulic fracturing water applications with extended concentration ranges for critical parameters.
Heise® pressure instruments provide the accuracy measurements required for critical test, calibration and process applications. The unique blend of product configurations includes the company’s 0.1% dial pressure gauge, the modular PTE-1 handheld calibrator and high accuracy digital pressure indicators and transducers. With ranges from 0.25 inches of water to 100,000 psi and accuracies to 0.025% FS, the company’s instruments provide reliable readings when measurement certainty is imperative.

Siemens’ Industry Automation Division has launched the Sitrans LR250 radar level transmitter with a new threaded PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) antenna for liquid and slurry measurement. The antenna is designed for extreme conditions characteristic of acids, alkalis, and other corrosive chemicals: some examples include sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, and sulfuric and hydrochloric acid applications. The instrument measures ranges of up to 66 feet due to its compact 25 GHz 2-wire transmitter.
