LAKE ZURICH, IL, June 26, 2008 -- Frigel North America has announced a new partnership with Heisler Green, a specialist in environmentally friendly water treatment chemicals and services for cooling towers, boilers, closed loop systems and waste water. Frigel plans to promote Heisler Green's eco-friendly CoolGreen products with Frigel's Ecodry system -- a unique, closed loop cooling system that dramatically reduces water and energy use for manufacturing companies worldwide.
"At Frigel, we actively promote green, sustainable advancements in technology and Heisler Green is doing the same," said Steve Petrakis, president of Frigel North America. "This partnership provides our customers with an even stronger solution and an excellent opportunity to achieve their own green manufacturing goals."
Ideal in any climate, the Ecodry provides relief from constant cooling tower maintenance and greatly reduces energy and water consumption, resulting in both environmental and financial benefits. It operates by pumping the water returning from the process into heat exchangers and cooling it with ambient air flow. This high performance, closed-loop process provides clean water at the right temperature to process machines year round.
With the addition of Heisler Green's CoolGreen product line, the Ecodry will continue to provide manufacturers significant cost savings by eliminating the need for ongoing maintenance due to corrosion or bacteria issues as well as reducing water usage by up to 80 percent.
"Cooling water accounts for approximately 98 percent of industrial water used in the United States," said Jim Green, vice president of Heisler Green. "Frigel's Ecodry system embodies the cooling technology of the future. Through this partnership, we hope to work with those companies interested in reducing their water usage and looking to incorporate green practices into their business."
Frigel NA and Heisler Green's partnership is currently exclusive in the plastics industry worldwide, but Frigel plans to expand their offerings in the future.
Frigel has been a market leader around the world in process cooling since the 1960s.
