Nov. 21, 2012 -- Sulzer Pumps has been selected for the supply of pumping solutions for several Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) projects in Spain and India. The scope of supply for the orders includes the design, manufacture and installation of cooling water pumps, feed water pumps, condensate extraction pumps and auxiliary pump packages. The pumps will be manufactured and packaged from Sulzer's global manufacturing network and will be installed in 2013 and 2014.
The wide product portfolio offering of Sulzer Pumps for both the solar island and turbine island has helped contribute to these successes. The orders in India have resulted in a significant increase of pump market share achieved by the CSP projects that were decided and announced in the first phase of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM). The JNNSM policy involves photovoltaic and CSP projects to provide electricity to support the rapidly growing Indian economy.
