INDIANAPOLIS, IN, Aug. 11, 2009 -- Global Water Technologies Inc. announces that it has filed a non-provisional patent application for the onsite production of sulfuric acid and plans to develop the technology in partnership with a Utah company.
Global Water Technologies filed a provisional patent application last August and this filing preserves the legal rights of the company to that intellectual property, says Erik Hromadka, president and CEO. "We continue to explore new ways to develop our base of water and related technologies and this is a good example of how strategic partnerships can help that process."
Hromadka explains that Global Water plans to work on further development and commercialization with Agua Dulce, a world leader in alkaline water and soil treatment. Agua Dulce is an innovative company that uses sulfurous acid to treat water for agriculture, industry and other specialized uses. "We are pleased to provide our expertise to move this technology forward and develop new markets," says Paul Baker, Director of Sales for Agua Dulce.
