RICHFIELD, MN, March 23, 2006 -- In order to meet the technical and education needs of the power generation industry, the American Filtration & Separations Society (AFS) has announced the "Separation Processes in Power Generation" will be the topic of its Fall 2006 Conference. This conference will be held Oct. 16-18 in Pittsburgh, PA, at the Radisson Green Tree.
Jerry Lynch, president of Sigma Design Co. and the conference chairman noted. "Our fall topical conferences meet the needs of specific filtration markets and end-users. Efficient and cost-effective power generation processes are critical in both the private and public sector and separation/filtration is an integral component in the power generation process. Power generators and end-users will be able to gain valuable technical and networking information from conference speakers, sponsors and exhibitors."
Topics that will be addressed includes but not limited to: Hazardous material removal and control, Process water supply and disposal, Membranes, Dry Scrubbers and Filter Presses, Sludge removal and Testing requirements.
A call for papers has been announced and abstracts can be emailed to [email protected]. Selected papers may be published in Filtration, the AFS peer-reviewed international journal of the filtration industry
