FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, Aug. 21, 2006 -- Parkson Corp. announced that it won the Best Presentation of Information Award for smaller ads from the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Citation of Excellence in Advertising Awards. The award was for one of its "Get Less with Parkson" ads that appeared in the series of five advertisements late last year.

Specifically, Parkson's print ad that appeared in the November 2005 issue of Water Environment & Technology was selected in the less than full-page ad category. In the ad, the company's DynaSand D2™ Advanced Filtration System was promoted for its outstanding performance as a low-pressure membrane system equivalency without the cost, maintenance and sensitivity. The system's output yields less phosphorus, nitrogen, Giardia, Cryptosporidium, SDI, NTU and TSS for recycle, reuse, recharge applications.

The awards recognize outstanding contributions to the water environment field through effective and original presentation of equipment and services. The panel of judges, both producers and consumers of advertising messages, came from WEF's Manufacturers & Representatives Committee and the (Water, Environment & Technology) WE&T Editorial Advisory Board. They reviewed several hundred display ads that appeared between August 2005 and July 2006 in WE&T trade magazine, and selected six winners in three categories, one each of larger and smaller ads, and two honorable mentions.

"We are very excited to have won this award and to have our strong communications efforts recognized by the industry," said Charlene Low, Director of Marketing.

The awards will be presented at the WEF Exhibitors and Advertisers reception at WEFTEC on October 22, 2006. Recognition is given to the advertiser and the design firm responsible for producing the ad. Concentre Communications, Inc. of Madison, WI, was the agency responsible for Parkson's ad series.

Parkson Corp. (www.parkson.com), an Axel Johnson Inc. company with headquarters in Florida and offices in Illinois, Michigan, Canada and Brazil, is a leading provider of advanced process and mechanical technology for applications in municipal water and wastewater, as well as industrial process water and wastewater.
