WT Oil & Gas and EnviroKlean launches Permian Basin water recycling system
WT Oil & Gas, in partnership with EnviroKlean, launched the Zero Solids Recycle® (ZSR®) solids-free produced water recycling system engineered for high-volume oilfield operations in the Permian Basin.
Designed to process up to 150,000 barrels/day (b/d), this fully manned, continuous-flow system allows operators to recycle produced water without generating waste solids, eliminating the cost and environmental liability of sludge haul-off and disposal.
Conventional recycling methods such as dissolved air flotation (DAF) or "floc and float" rely on chemical reactions that precipitate harmful contaminants into solids and sludge, driving up disposal costs and environmental risk.
The ZSR® system, by contrast, prevents solids from forming altogether. By maintaining contaminants in a dissolved state, the system delivers frac-ready water that stays stable for an extended period without solids, souring, or toxic gas generation like H₂S. This solids-free recycling approach eliminates DAFs, sludge pits, or weir tanks and provides a smaller treatment footprint and simpler logistics. The system integrates into large-scale reuse and completion programs.
