FARNHAM, U.K. — Pure Hydration has recently supplied 5,000 Thirst Aid Stations to the ShelterBox charity in Cornwall to be used in the Philippines and war-torn Syria, according to a press release on SourceWire.

Another 5,000 stations have been ordered due to current events in the Philippines, the release reported.

According to the release, a Thirst Aid Station water purifier takes less than a minute to create safe drinking water.

Thousands of families in the central Philippines are without shelter, food or safe drinking water after the devastation from Typhoon Haiyan, the release noted.

"Each Thirst Aid Station can provide a thousand litres of clean drinking water," said Pure Hydration's Jon Grant. "One bag will provide a family of four with safe drinking water for a month."
