BIRMINGHAM — The latest post from Dale Filhaber of Dataman Group discusses how to calculate the return of a direct mailing campaign.

BIRMINGHAM — The newest blog post from Dale Filhaber of Dataman Group on Pure Water Profits is now available.

This week, Filhaber discusses how people can calculate the return of a direct mailing campaign by multiplying four key elements: Sale price, number of mailings, response rate and conversion rate.

“Every day people ask me about the average response from a direct mailing,” says Filhaber. “And, I typically answer this question the same way each time, explaining (patiently) that there is no average response — everything depends on the mailing list, the creative copy, the offer and the timing of the mailer.”
