Remote Sensing for Catchment Management conference scheduled

MANCHESTER, U.K. — Aqua Enviro Technology Transfer, specializing in delivering technical training and conferences for the water, wastewater and waste management industries, has organized the Remote Sensing for Catchment Management conference, according to a press release.

The conference will take place May 1 at the Leeds Club in Leeds, U.K., starting at 9:30 a.m.

Remote sensing is a technology that has the ability to increase the information available to monitor and detect environment change, thereby improving decision making in the management of land and water resources, noted the release, and has not been fully utilized in certain areas.

This conference will focus on presenting a range of remote sensing applications from catchment and asset management, to more unusual applications such as archaeology which is of regulatory relevance to the water and environmental sectors, the release reported.

According to the release, those who will benefit from this conference will include environmental regulators, water utilities and catchment management stakeholders.
