Residents in Illinois town question water quality

CAIRO, Ill. — A lot of customers are not happy with the quality of water they are receiving now and some are even claiming that it’s making them sick.

CAIRO, Ill. — The water company in Cairo, Ill. recently made some changes to its drinking water process and it has residents concerned about the quality of water coming from the tap, according to WSIL TV News.

Citizens in Cairo have started receiving their water from the ground rather than from the Ohio River because of repairs to the water treatment plant, stated the article.

A lot of customers are not happy with the quality of water they are receiving now and some are even claiming that it’s making them sick.

Families are now refusing to drink the tap water and are instead spending the extra money on clean drinking water from a store, noted the article.
