Residents suspect change in taste of water, find dead body in water tank

SAUDI ARABIA — Residents in the western town of Mekkah had noticed the change in taste for a few days before the stench of the decomposing body began to enter the building.

SAUDI ARABIA — After pestering the landlord complaining about the change in the taste of the drinking water of homes in a Saudi Arabia town, residents decided to act on their own by opening the water tank on the roof, according to Emirates 24/7 News.

When the tank was opened residents found the source of the problem when a dead body was discovered inside, noted the article.

Residents in a building in the western town of Mekkah had noticed the change in taste for a few days before the stench of the decomposing body began to enter the building, stated the article.

“When they opened the tank, they found a dead man … they notified the police who took the body to the coroner to determine the cause of the man’s death,” Al Madina daily said, adding that police did not find signs of bruises on the body.
