LAS VEGAS — Siemens announced Nicholas J. Webb, innovator and business futurist, will deliver the keynote address during Siemens’ 2015 Automation Summit taking place June 22-24 in Las Vegas, according to a press release.

Webb currently provides innovation and business strategy consulting to a variety of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small startups, stated the release.

The release reported that Webb is a successful inventor with an extensive array of patented technologies including the popular Hanz® line of educational toys and one of the world’s smallest medical implants.

He is the author of “The Innovation Playbook” and “The Digital Innovation Playbook,” continued the release, and has been awarded over 40 patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

“I am honored that Siemens chose to include me in Automation Summit,” said Webb. “Together, we are constructing a customized presentation from which every attendee will gain real-world, actionable insights. Innovation is at the core of Siemens and we’ll dive deeper into this ocean of possibility during the summit.”

The theme of this year’s summit, added the release, is “Community. Experiences. Productivity.”

The event will provide operational and engineering professionals, automation and operations management, as well as senior-level executives with end user learning opportunities covering the full spectrum of automation — from process and discrete to motion control and drives, noted the release.
