UNITED KINGDOM — Aqualogy recently supplied and installed a sludge dryer for Yorkshire Water, according to a press release.

The dryer, which according to the press release produces a dry fuel at the wastewater treatment site, is one of a series of key innovations as part of Yorkshire Water’s ambitious large-scale R&D project on advanced thermal conversion.

Yorkshire Water currently serves around five million inhabitants, operating more than 700 water and sewage treatment works and 120 reservoirs and looking after 62,000 miles of water and sewerage mains.

Although Aqualogy’s technologies are involved in numerous municipal applications throughout the world, this project for Yorkshire Water is the first to produce a dry fuel used on a wastewater treatment site.
