STOCKHOLM — Sweco, an international consulting group, has been chosen to upgrade and rebuild Prague's main wastewater plant, according to a press release on Business Wire.
The contract is worth approximately €8.5 million, the release reported.
“We will increase the capacity of the Czech Republic’s largest wastewater treatment plant in a way that produces cleaner water for a large area even outside Prague. This is a notable contract that acknowledges Sweco’s market-leading expertise in this area,” says Bo Carlsson, president of Sweco Central and Eastern Europe.
Sweco will plan and prepare for construction of the new plant to comply with EU requirements regarding the capacity of wastewater treatment facilities; the plant is scheduled for completion in 2017, according to the release.
