STEINACH, Switzerland — In addition to providing safe, reliable and affordable drinking water, the water shops help to promote local development and create employment opportunities.

STEINACH, Switzerland — Trunz Water Systems has provided sustainable, safe drinking water solutions since 2007, according to a press release.

Last year in remote areas in Nepal, Trunz Water Systems established solar-powered water shops, which work independently from any other infrastructure, stated the release.

The water from the shops is sold at fair prices to hospitals, schools, commercial businesses and communities that previously had to rely on contaminated drinking water, continued the release.

In addition to providing safe, reliable and affordable drinking water, reported the release, the water shops help to promote local development and create employment opportunities.

Trunz Water Systems plans to upgrade the water shops to “NEXUS Centers” with added revenue generation beyond safe drinking water, such as refrigeration, space for medical treatment and small businesses, charging of electronic devices, access to the Internet, hygiene products and more, noted the release.
