TST Water’s UltraGuard line receives WQA certification

April 24, 2015

TEMECULA, Calif. — During the certification process, UltraGuard achieved non-detect effluents on all reporting levels for both R. terrigena and MS-2 Phage.

TEMECULA, Calif. — The UltraGuard® product line from TST Water has achieved WQA certification to the U.S. EPA Guide Standard and Protocol for Microbiological Water Purifiers, according to a press release.

“We are very pleased with the exceptional results obtained during the certification, as over the life of the test we achieved non-detect effluents on all reporting levels for both R. terrigena and MS-2 Phage,”  Shannon Murphy, product and certification manager for TST Water, reported in the release.

As with other TST products, the UltraGuard line of POE systems, which delivers 0.02 micron filtration, is an American-manufactured, patented UF membrane, the release reported, and “the UltraGuard systems work off of normal line pressure, providing high flow rates with low pressure drop” to keep particles from water.

Murphy also pointed to the systems’ customizability as another benefit in the release: “Being able to add in specific pre- or post-filtration packages to the UltraGuard® line allows installers to provide customizable solutions to their unique water treatment needs.”

TST Water became a Water Quality Research Foundation (WQRF) Dignitary Partner earlier in 2015 and is currently increasing its support of the industry, the release said.
