RALEIGH, N.C. — United Water chose the Sensus FlexNet™ system to track water use more effectively through on-demand meter reads, water theft detection and leak identification.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Sensus announced that it is deploying and managing a smart communication network for United Water, a subsidiary of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, according to a press release.

To help United Water supply its New York and New Jersey customers with sustainable water solutions, the smart communication network includes the Sensus FlexNet™ system, software as a service (SaaS) and 325,000 smart endpoints, stated the release.

The Sensus FlexNet system was chosen by United Water to track water use more effectively through on-demand meter reads, water theft detection and leak identification, all of which are common causes of nonrevenue water, reported the release.

"This project is a win-win for the environment and customers," said United Water President of Regulated Business David Stanton. "It will help to secure increasingly scarce resources for the region, accelerate our trend of reducing water lost from our distribution systems and improve the experience of our customers by providing greater billing accuracy."
