DENVER — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released the latest data update being reported by participating utilities for the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule 3 (UCMR 3), according to an American Water Works Association (AWWA) news release.

Published in 2012, UCMR 3 requires the monitoring of two viruses and 28 chemicals, stated the release.

EPA provides resources on UCMR 3, including the latest update, such as a “Data Summary” in PDF format, a list of U.S. Postal Service ZIP codes for all areas served by a PWS, a “Disinfectant Residual Type” text file and an “Occurrence Data” text file, reported the release.
