USGS highlights aspects of climate change in recognition of Earth Day

RESTON, Va. — A slideshow released by USGS shows some examples of the impacts climate change has on places and people across the globe.

RESTON, Va. — U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) will recognize Earth Day by highlighting a few aspects of climate change, according to an article on its website.

Climate change has had a tremendous impact in the U.S. on its landscapes, natural and agricultural resources, wildlife, economy and public health.

Scientists at USGS are constantly trying to document and understand these changes to help find ways to improve our way of life, noted the article.

A slideshow released by USGS shows some examples of the impacts climate change has on places and people across the globe.

USGS will also be answering questions about climate change through a video series called Climate Connections.
