Value of Water Coalition to host panel on water infrastructure

WASHINGTON — The panel will be webcast as part of Infrastructure Week 2014.

WASHINGTON — The Value of Water Coalition will host a webcast panel on Wednesday, May 14 from 10-12 p.m. EST at The Newseum in Washington to discuss the critical state of U.S. water infrastructure, according to a press release.

The in-depth conversation will focus on the current condition of water infrastructure in the United States, the consequences of letting these failing systems worsen and solutions to meeting the water challenges of today and tomorrow, reported the release.

Titled "From Invisible to Invaluable: Changing the Way We Think About Water Infrastructure," the panel will be webcast at http://thevalueofwater.org/?p=127155.

Water experts taking part in the panel include: George Hawkins, general manager, DC Water; Tony Parrott, executive director, Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati; Ed Pinero, chief sustainability officer, Veolia North America; Ken Kopocis, senior advisor for water, U.S. EPA; and Mark Strauss, senior VP of corporate strategy and business development, American Water.
