DENVER — The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is looking for experienced volunteers to serve on its Water Storage Committee for three years, according to a press release.

The committee’s mission is “to develop and maintain standards and related manuals according to procedures outlined in the Standards Program Operating Procedures,” shared the release.

It is preferable that volunteers have five years of experience, noted the release. AWWA membership is not generally required.

Volunteers should plan on committing two to four hours each month to the group’s work, but travel is not necessary, stated the release. Conference calls and emails will be utilized for most activities.

The committee is organized under the board of directors, reported the release. A committee chair will also be selected for the group.
