Washington firefighters receive canned water from Anheuser-Busch

ST. LOUIS — Aug. 24, 2015 — The company has provided more than 73 million cans of drinking water for people in the aftermath of disasters.

ST. LOUIS — Aug. 24, 2015 — Anheuser-Busch is sending a truck loaded with 2,156 cases of canned water to firefighters working in Washington state and the Pacific Northwest, according to a press release.

The company’s local distributor, Columbia Distributing, is collaborating with the American Red Cross and Chelan County Public Works to distribute the water, noted the release.

"Firefighters and relief workers are in need of safe, clean drinking water, and Anheuser-Busch is in a unique position to produce and ship emergency drinking water," said Peter Kraemer, vice president of supply for Anheuser-Busch, in the release. "Our local distributors help identify those communities most in need, and work with relief organizations such as the American Red Cross to make sure the water gets where it’s needed."

Anheuser-Busch has provided more than 73 million cans of drinking water for people in the aftermath of natural and other disasters, stated the release. The company also supports the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program monetarily.
