Reliable Fluid Transfer

EZstrip™ Transfer Pump

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) has pioneered pumping systems for more than 75 years with the company’s family of legacy brands used in applications across the wastewater treatment industry. Moyno™ progressing cavity pumps, in particular, have provided efficient and reliable fluid transfer since their creation in 1935.

NOV has continually enhanced the pump’s design and operational performance over time to provide customers with more efficient and more reliable technology. The newest iteration of the EZstrip pump, the Moyno EZstrip™ maintain-in-place progressing cavity pump, plays a vital role in primary treatment, secondary treatment, tertiary treatment, and solids processing. The pump is designed with new features, including the ability to disassemble the entire rotating unit without disturbing the suction or discharge pipework, to make the maintenance process even more user friendly. The heavy-duty pin joint design, available in either close coupled or bearing configurations, ensures reliable operation and a long service life when transferring effluent and sludges. The pump also allows quick and safe removal of the full drive train, including rotor, stator, shaft, rod, and seal, in minutes without electrical disconnection. In addition, the fixed support foot and stator clamp assembly further aids rotor and stator removal.

Typical applications include: saltwater disposal truck offloading; domestic and industrial effluent; hydrated lime slurry; sludge; milk curds, sauces, fruit juices; industrial chemicals and detergents; coating clays, gypsum and silicate; paper stocks and more.

The pump is fitted with a positive torque split coupling rod and combined with its smooth profile it alleviates potential ragging issues and reduces maintenance and assembly times. The pump’s tie-bar-free design, with clamps now locking the stator securely into place, further reduces stator removal time by over 50 percent and improves the safety of common maintenance operations. Patented access covers provide 360° access to coupling rod and drive shaft for easy inspection, maintenance and removal. The EZstrip pump is available in cast iron or stainless steel with a choice of rotor and stator materials, and it can meet the corrosive and abrasive nature of all types of wastewater applications.
