RENO, Nev. — Stratus is a stylish faucet and high-tech filter with an ecosystem designed to revolutionize tap water.

RENO, Nev. — Zuvo Water launched Stratus, the world's first cloud-connected water filtration and faucet ecosystem, on Indiegogo, according to a press release.

Combining modern faucet design, Zuvo's patented water filtration technology, which replicates nature's cleansing process, and a cloud-connected app, makes Stratus one of the most intelligent water system on the market, stated the release.

Stratus is more than a stylish faucet and high-tech filter, it's an ecosystem designed to revolutionize tap water.

Some of its features include:

• Water information and hydration via the cloud — The Stratus Wi-Fi communication allows Zuvo Water to deliver to a smartphone a whole host of important information about water such as the remaining life of the filter, the actual reduction of contaminants in the water, and the daily rate of water consumption in one's household.

• Stylish and intelligent faucets — Zuvo Water has been working for the last year with one of the leading Silicon Valley design firms, D2M, who also created the crowdfunding sensation Instacube. D2M designed and tested the Stratus and created a full range of accompanying innovatively designed and styled, intelligent faucets. Faucets will be available in tri-flow and beverage faucet styles as well as different finishes. The intelligent, touch sensing faucets not only turn on the filtered water but also show users the status of the system with intuitive graphics.

• Eco-consciousness — Zuvo Water is 100% committed to reducing the global consumption of bottled water and raising consciousness about the value of water. The Stratus reduces the expense and waste of bottled water by not adding to the more than 60 million plastic water bottles that end up in landfills every year. Additionally, the Stratus is designed according to sustainability principles. Non-painted and BPA-free plastics were chosen for durability, health considerations, and recyclability.

The end result is the world's first intelligent drinking water system right in the home that installs on a countertop or underneath a sink.

“Zuvo Water is always on the forefront in developing innovative products that deliver safe and superior drinking water which enable consumers to trust their tap again,” observed Andy Butler, CEO of Zuvo Water. “With Stratus, we have taken the consumer hydration experience to the next level and provided our customers with an intelligent product that not only gives them great-tasting water, but smart water consumption and filter information, all in one package.”
