Water For People forms fundraising team for NYC Marathon

DENVER, Colo. — All donations to the Water For People team will go toward creating reliable, safe drinking water resources, improving sanitation facilities and providing hygiene education.

DENVER, Colo. — Nonprofit organization Water For People, which works to create reliable, safe drinking water resources, improve sanitation facilities and provide hygiene education, has formed a fundraising team for the ING New York City Marathon on November 3, according to a press release.

The marathon takes runners through all of New York City’s five boroughs, mirroring the long distances millions of people walk every day to collect clean water for their families, noted the release.

Donations to the team go directly to Water For People to finance its water and sanitation programs in Africa, India, Central America and South America.
