Water Technology talks with Water Week 2014 organizers

LATHAM, N.Y. — The inaugural Water Week 2014, an opportunity for water sector groups to advocate for clean water issues, showcase innovative approaches to sustainable water management and educate national leadership about the importance of clean water, kicked off on April 7 in Washington, running until April 11.

The week of events was organized by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) with support from many other national, state and regional water organizations.

Water Technology caught up with organizers from NACWA, WEF and WERF just before the busy week of events began to find out why they thought an entire week should be dedicated to addressing water issues in Washington, what policy issues were at the forefront and which events they were most excited for.
