BUFORD, Ga. — AdEdge Water Technologies has announced the addition of biotttaTM advanced biological treatment to their core product offerings, according to a press release.
Each biotttaTM system is a pre-engineered, turnkey treatment solution designed to remove nitrate, perchlorate, hexavalent chromium, VOCs and other contaminants from municipal drinking water supplies, the release reported.
biotttaTM is a low-energy treatment process that uses naturally-occurring bacteria to eliminate multiple contaminants from groundwater rather than creating harmful waste streams typically found in ion exchange and reverse osmosis applications, noted the release.
According to the release, AdEdge Water Technologies entered into an exclusive license agreement with Carollo Engineers to commercialize and distribute the biotttaTM technology in North America.
“Biological treatment for municipal drinking water in the United States is the most sustainable and long term cost-effective solution for the treatment of nitrate, chromium VI, perchlorate and other contaminants from drinking water,” says Rich Cavagnaro, president and CEO of AdEdge Water Technologies. “Carollo Engineers has been a leader in this field and we bring our strong sales distribution and manufacturing capabilities to the mix to commercialize this innovative technology in the marketplace.”
