Louis Berger receives WSSC contract

MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Louis Berger, a global professional services corporation, will provide its engineering and design services to repair, rehabilitate, replace and relocate transmission and distribution water pipelines, sewer pipelines and large meter vaults.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Louis Berger has been awarded a $4 million, three-year contract, containing an option for an additional three years, with the Washington Sanitary Suburban Commission (WSSC) for a water and sewer design project in Prince George’s and Montgomery counties in Maryland, according to a press release.

In support of WSSC’s Water Reconstruction Program, Louis Berger will provide its engineering and design services to repair, rehabilitate, replace and relocate transmission and distribution water pipelines, sewer pipelines and large meter vaults, stated the release.

Louis Berger will also assist in developing and implementing a community outreach program that will provide information to the surrounding communities about the work being performed, added the release.

WSSC’s water reconstruction program, aimed at improving the region’s water and wastewater infrastructure, focuses on financing water and sewer reconstruction programs as well as on inspection and repair of critical water and sewer infrastructure for the counties of Prince George’s and Montgomery, reported the release.

“This design project leverages the expanded design capabilities in our water services division,” said Louis Berger Senior Vice President of Water Services Anwer Hasan. “It gives us the opportunity to actively support water and wastewater design in the Mid-Atlantic and surrounding regions from our design center in Baltimore.”
