EAST SUSSEX, England — Across the world, advances in technology are resulting in rapid growth of online smart monitoring of water quality in municipal and industrial systems.

EAST SUSSEX, England — A new insight report, “Online Water and Wastewater Sensors and Analyzers,” from BlueTech® Research projects in the coming years that water quality issues and monitoring technologies in developing markets may drive double-digit global growth, according to a press release.

Across the world, advances in technology such as miniature sensors and robotic fish, are “leading a rapid advance” in online smart monitoring of water quality in municipal and industrial systems, stated the release.

The Asia-Pacific region, reported the release, is predicted to be the fastest growing market.

In recent years, continued the release, the water analysis industry has seen significant growth due to swift rises in population and growing concerns over water contamination.

A change in water quality can occur because of equipment failing in a water system, added the release.

According to the release, “The use of smart water networks is one way in which utilities are seeking holistic approaches to water management, within which they aim to identify health and operational risks, either before an incident develops or within the shortest possible response time.”

The BlueTech Research report discusses current and developing online water and wastewater monitoring technologies, the technologies’ drivers and barriers, as well as a market profile, noted the release.
