PULASKI, N.Y. — Coronavirus, also known as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), is continuing to spread throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to a press release.
In Saudi Arabia, new case counts of MERS have increased the most, and a Kuwait news agency reported 15 new confirmed cases during the last week alone, stated the release.
Since 2012, reported the release, the virus, which has no known vaccine or cure, has infected 1,042 people and killed 419, and hospitals throughout the Middle East are partnering with HealthWay “to provide the cleanest possible air in the fight against MERS.”
HealthWay’s patented, medical grade air cleaners are in hospitals throughout Qatar and UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, to help provide “ultrafine particle filtration,” continued the release.
HealthWay President Vinny Lobdell will travel to Saudi Arabia to meet with the Health Ministry on ways to expand the use of HealthWay’s air cleaners in medical centers and hospitals throughout the Middle East, noted the release.
