EDINA, Minn. — The Value of Water Coalition is comprised of public and private water agencies, community and business leaders and national organizations united in advancing the importance of water to the social, environmental and economic well-being of the U.S.

EDINA, Minn. — The Dow Chemical Company has joined the Value of Water Coalition in the fight to revive U.S. water infrastructure, according to a press release.

The Value of Water Coalition, united in elevating the importance of water to the environmental, economic and social well-being of the U.S., is comprised of national and local leaders promoting awareness about the value of water “at a time when water is often overlooked in the national discussion of infrastructure investment,” stated the release.

The release reported Dow joins the increasing number of private and public sector advocates, U.S. water utilities and large engineering firms, including but not limited to: The American Water Works Association (AWWA), MWH Global, American Water Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies, CH2M HILL, National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), U.S. Water Alliance, Water Environment Foundation (WEF) and Xylem.

“While water is priceless, we undervalue it in the United States," said Radhika Fox, director of the Value of Water Coalition. "The strength of our coalition is bringing strong voices from the public, private and nonprofit sectors together to shine light on urgent, but often unseen, water issues and inspiring positive action that will strengthen this nation. We are thrilled to have Dow help us educate the public about the importance of water to economy, environment and communities across the globe."

Water resource management, noted the release, impacts almost every aspect of the economy, particularly, domestic water supplies and sanitation, energy, food production and security, health, industry and environmental sustainability.
