DENVER — CH2M HILL announced the San Marcos City Council unanimously approved a five-year contract extension during its Feb. 3 meeting for the operation and maintenance of the city’s wastewater treatment plant, according to a press release.
The facility produces nine million gallons per day and serves 42,000 residents, stated the release.
CH2M HILL has operated the facility, located in San Marcos, Texas, since 2005, continued the release.
With the granted extension, reported the release, CH2M HILL will operate the wastewater treatment plant until 2020, with an option for an additional five years.
“We are excited to continue our long-standing partnership with CH2M HILL,” said San Marcos Executive Director of Public Services Tom Taggart. “They have demonstrated their commitment to this contract, their passion for the services they provide and the high-quality work they perform on behalf of our city and our citizens.”
