MILWAUKEE — Badger Meter announced it has become an Associate Partner of the Smart Cities Council (SCC), according to a press release.
SSC is a coalition of industry thought leaders, practitioners and innovators dedicated to improving the sustainability, workability and livability of cities around the world, stated the release.
“Partnering with the Smart Cities Council is a natural connection for Badger Meter, since a smart water network is a key component in the creation of a smart city,” said Kim Stoll, vice president of sales and marketing for Badger Meter. “We are committed to making it easier and more cost effective for cities of all sizes to achieve a smart water network and reach their sustainability goals.”
The release reported rapidly growing populations in urban areas with aging infrastructure and a growing demand for limited resources is generating new challenges to improve the daily lives in these cities.
"We are so pleased to have Badger Meter as a partner of the Smart Cities Council,” said Jesse Berst, chairman of the Smart Cities Council. “As a world leader in water and flow measurement, the company’s expertise will be a true asset in our work to advance the livability, workability and sustainability of cities around the globe.”
