Wishing Well International Foundation reveals signature event of 2016

April 20, 2015

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Scheduled for next spring, the 10-1-10 Africa Expedition will take WWIF sponsors and representatives through several communities of Swaziland and South Africa to deploy Hydraid water filters in hundreds of homes.

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — The Wishing Well International Foundation (WWIF) announced its signature event of 2016, the 10-1-10 Africa Expedition, according to a press release.

Scheduled for next spring, the expedition will take WWIF sponsors and representatives through several communities of Swaziland and South Africa to deploy Hydraid water filters in hundreds of homes, stated the release.

The event will be coordinated with WWIF’s sister foundation, WWIF South Africa, continued the release.

Although similar exhibitions have been conducted on a smaller scale in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Ghana and Kenya, this event will include WWIF’s sponsors, who wish to see the impact of their donations firsthand, reported the release.

“WWIF has conducted a few trips with friends of the foundation to deploy water filters in developing areas,” said WWIF Vice President of Corporate Sponsors and Fundraising Mark Bertler. “Those trips planted the seeds of thought that we could do a similar, larger-scale expedition in Africa that would not only accomplish some great work, but would also raise the foundation’s profile around the world.”

The expedition is the first to be labeled with the “10-1-10” message, noted the release, which means for every $10 donated to WWIF, one person is provided with clean water for 10 years.
